At the annual agricultural show, DYW Borders and the Borders Unions Agricultural Society hosted a careers hub, alongside Borders College and Borders Machinery Ring. We held spotlight talks, activites and a jobs board. We showcased careers including farm administration, agricultural engineering, apprenticeship pathways and laboratory science – the sector is more diverse than many young people realise.
First Minister John Swinney came to speak with us as he visited the show and the turn out for the weekend was excellent.
